The Garden Community

The Garden Community was designed with the intent to fully merge community gardens with apartment complexes, resulting in a hybrid of public and private rooftop gardens. The idea bloomed into existence from the increase of community gardens in neighborhoods and rethinking how nature can be incorporated into the concrete jungles.

By using the rooftops of buildings for gardens created new areas for people to enjoy. The rearranging of space created private gardens for adjoining units and provided public areas for the complex community. This addition of private outdoor space allowed residents to grow flowers and food for more biodiversity and a healthier food source.
