The Rainier Beach Art Center is a continuation of the Rainier Beach Apartments project. Located on the corner of Rainer Ave and Henderson St, an engaging path was needed to animate the commercial area of The Community Link.
The building provides programs to strengthen the existing community physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. The two main programs, which define their spaces on either side of the path, both enhance the community’s diverse cultural backgrounds.
The art gallery and classrooms for local art promote mental and emotional help for all ages. The food bank, culinary classes, and rooftop gardens provide financial and physical health to the community.
